After a while of saving, I decided it was time to play Santa for myself;  Ive bought a new camera.  A Nikon D300 is my new tool of the trade .  Still haven't had the chance to really test it out, but the little bit I have played with it, it feel great.  The 51 point autofocusing really is something else.  There are so many cool little features on this camera that I can't wait to try out.  I will be keeping my D40X as a second body, allowing me to have two lenses ready at any one time.  This will be usefull if shooting wildlife as I can take some landscape shots without having to fiddle about changing lenses.  Over the coming days and weeks I hope to get out and test the camera in anger, so expect to see some results soon.
