After a while of saving, I decided it was time to play Santa for myself;  Ive bought a new camera.  A Nikon D300 is my new tool of the trade :D.  Still haven't had the chance to really test it out, but the little bit I have played with it, it feel great.  The 51 point autofocusing really is something else.  There are so many cool little features on this camera that I can't wait to try out.  I will be keeping my D40X as a second body, allowing me to have two lenses ready at any one time.  This will be usefull if shooting wildlife as I can take some landscape shots without having to fiddle about changing lenses.  Over the coming days and weeks

And its off...

Ive finally completed my LRPS (Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society) panel.  Ive taken months selecting images that not only show the range of work I do, but also fit together in a cohesive collection.  Im going to post the CD and application form tomorrow with it hopefully being judged on Wednesday 2nd April 2008.  The images I ended up choosing were (In order); :thumb71363313: :thumb71363445: :thumb71363523: :thumb71363593: :thumb71363679: :thumb71363741: :thumb71363811: :thumb71363871: :thumb71363984: :thumb71364144: So fingers crossed everyone, and thanks for all your support and posts since my last journal entry.

Im still alive!

0 min read
I know I haven't posted much work recently, but im still alive.  From my weekly torrent of work earlier in the year, my shooting has slowed down somewhat.  As the weather is turning colder, the insect macros have become impossible, so I have been concentrating more in general wildlife, especially birds.  I have been finding this quite hard (Although relaxing), especially producing what I consider to be artistic and post worthy shots. This autumn, I suspect you will be seeing more Landscape and Architecture shots from me, with maybe the odd bird shot thrown in for good measure.  You may have noticed my shots from Whitby I took this weekend.
